AstroJazz Performances

AstroJazz is an innovative public education program invented by Morrow and is one of her evolving creative works. AstroJazz combines up-to-date astronomical imagery and intellectual content with live jazz music (both originals and standards). The program is an integration of astronomy, music, poetry, visual art, and education. For AstroJazz, Morrow sings, writes lyrics, co-composes songs with renowned jazz musicians, researches the astronomy content for segments between and during songs, prepares the program’s animated PowerPoint slides that feature the work of notable space artists and astrophotographers, and works with planetarium technicians to coordinate special effects.
